Tapah Aquaculture Extension center is also involved in helping the farmers to expand their farming activities.

The officer will visit the farm and give brief explanations to new farmers about farming methods. Besides that,the site feasibility study which is a technical support advisory assistance is also provided to prospective fish farmers about the suitable of the site, system, different species of the fish and pool design.

The purpose of fish fry program in public water:

1. To enrich the fishery resources so verity of species are available for fishing.
2. To increase income of fisherman.
3. To guard the ecosystem in the area.

Carp is the most type of fish released in the program .

This program has become an annual event in all Perak district. In 2011, the center has distributed 652,900 carp fish fries which worth RM130,580.00 to district in Perak and other states.
