Distribution fry and fingerlings to farmers

As an effort in helping the aquaculture entrepreneurs, department of fisheries has made a policy to give them free fry aid. The purpose of this fries aid policy is to encourage entrepreneurs to stay in the business of aquaculture and fish breeding industry in Malaysia.
The conditions to request for free aid:
Small farmers are eligible for a one time free supply of seed . The next free supply could only be considered if farmers incur losses due to natural disasters and if they are involved in the department research.
Commercial farmers are eligible to receive free supply only once. Subsequent free supply It can be considered if the company contribute in terms of introducing new aquaculture technology which is more efficient,be a part of aquaculture research with development program (R&D) and get involved in the downstream fishery.
